A5 - I was in a district where I couldn’t grow. It was a factory more than a learning environment. I believe if I can’t learn/grow that I’ll die. I left the district and found my forever home where encouragement and support is the norm. Happiness achieved!

My founder of my college had a saying “be who you are and be that well!” That has driven much of my life in education :)

A5 - we have to encourage people to be thinkers and not followers. We have to be empathetic to others but we cannot stay silent on a topic of importance. If you are dedicated to a topic - be that voice!

A3- all of the tchers that I work with are phenomenal but I have been truly impressed with the empathy and understanding that they have shown my ESL kiddos! Modifications are easily given and they go out of their way to connect with the kiddos. Truly proud of my team!

A2 - when those feelings creep up it is important to reflect back on all the challenges that you overcame and all that you learned. I often think back to my 1st yr teaching when getting kids to sit was a successful day! Helps bring perspective!

A1-During the closure we had lost our strong connection with many non-English speaking families. I kept reaching out and offering the help and slowly but surely we helped remove the barriers and got the kiddos engaged. Team effort for sure!
