I offer 3 late passes per semester AND for larger assignments and tests I include my students in determining due dates—that way I avoid their homework traffic jams. Students find these two policies very helpful to staying on target. AND it keeps MY extra work to a minimum 👍🏻

For a couple years I had students create their own publishing houses....write/publish about whatever they wanted....no one ever chose a comic. A great idea!!
