We need to give ourselves “permission” to chill! Sometimes it’s even a prescription.

That sounds right. But, APA judges for academics and sets ruled for collegiate literature. A collage of youtubers, tic-tic-ers, etc decide vernacular. Then mainstream media straddles it all, bending APA’s rules in order to remain relevant, but coming off as “dad-ish” to youth.

I read an article about this use of plural pronouns for singular subjects. For the longest time I was doing the same thing I do with questionable spellings; Tryout a variety of options😂 I love the path toward inclusivity.

My district goes from hybrid to total remote after Thanksgiving. Just wondering about zooming all day! I’ll be initiating various small groups along with some whole group for my 3rd graders.

Is it an oak tree? Our oak takes forever to let go. Some years it still has leaves in the spring!

I've written many stories that I use in class each year. This year I am turning them into projects to share with Ss. This one, "The Farmer and the Bee" comes from a real-life experience. It mirrors Aesop's "Lion and the Mouse"

The most powerful PD for me is learning about something closely connected to stuff I already do, but provides valuable new information, tricks, or fun. I need a place to store new knowledge in my cognitive compartments or it gets kicked out.

Same in PA, a little at a time. Schools 100% remote after thanksgiving break.
