Had the absolute pleasure to hear the final year ITE students sharing their action enquiry projects today. Amazing work from trainee teachers around differentiation, outdoor learning, use of technology and so much more leading practice

Great to have the opportunity today to present the findings of my action research, and so interesting to listen to the impact students at have had out in schools too! Should make for fascinating reading when the eBooks are published

A4 for so many pupils the idea of speaking in front of their peers is terrifying, so they avoid it at all costs. Technology provides ways they can communicate without having everybody’s eyes on them, helping to build confidence in our reluctant contributors

A3: you could do some really effective self-assessment with this, since pupils could listen back and identify where they could improve. Definitely something I’d use in KS2

A1: I’ve used Garageband to create pupil podcasts. Great app that easily allowed them to listen back and edit or re-record a piece until they were happy with it. Over time, less editing needed because they’re improving

Essential read for schools looking to make purchasing decisions. Busts some of the ‘myths’ The Best Chromebook is... an iPad. : Wired Educator ⁩ 👍

Absolutely loved the time I got to spend back at on my action enquiry study, and I really wish I didn’t have to say goodbye again today! I’ve enjoyed it so much, but now to focus on the last few months of the course and QTS at the end of it!

Really like that idea, that’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind! I’ve used it to encourage learners to talk (and therefore think) about what they’ve learned. It’s been a really powerful tool for reflection! Will definitely share the study though 👍🏻

Presented the outcome of my action enquiry study to SLT this afternoon and it couldn’t have gone better. I looked at how Podcasting impacts engagement and confidence. SLT were so enthusiastic and keen to know the impact it had, and could have in future. Great result all round!
