Reporter wrote about brutal gay bashing in downtown Portland in '16. I emailed to ask how she independently verified story. She ignored me. I inquired again & she said: "I’m not interested in discussing this with you." , do you know?

Response from the news editor of when I asked what steps their reporter took to independently verify an unreported claim of a brutal, vicious gay bashing in downtown Portland that had witnesses all around.

Transparency is paramount in media ethics. That news editor would respond this way when asked for verification process is wrong. I could find no police, media, witness reports supporting story of brutal gay bashing in downtown PDX. , do you know?

I asked for transparency because news editor previously pushed a hate hoax story. Last Oct. she helped sic a mob on an innocent Portland bicyclist who was falsely accused of calling the cops on an improperly parked black couple.

This however, would require her to be professional and capable of ethics over ideology. I quick look at her TL suggests to me that this is too big an ask.
