The Cartmel Gatehouse was built around 1330 and is available to tour for free tomorrow thanks to Heritage Open Days! In its near 700 year history, it has been court-house, a prison and even a school! Come and learn about it's history for free!

Thank you to for clearing the seaweed. Much appreciated! Please can you add this to the regular maintenance plan for next year during the sailing season from April to September to avoid any more accidents! A new slipway & floating jetty would be even better! 🙂

Originally built as a wharf and rail terminal for both passenger and cargo transport, Morecambe's Stone Jetty is roughly 160 years old! The former lighthouse was built shortly afterwards and today is used as a café!

As part of Heritage Open Days, you can tour the wonderful Leighton Hall for free tomorrow (2pm - 5pm)! All visits include a guided house tour, a birds of prey display (weather permitting) and access to the gardens and grounds!
