Based on manifesto implementation, has been able to set up the National Backbone Infrastructure which has been extended to 420 MDAs/LGs & target user groups. Out of these, 327 MDAs are using e-services over the NBI such as the IFMS, internet, leased lines & dark fibre.

By the end of next FY 2019/20, 1,000 MDAs sites will be connected in a bid to improve e-governance for so as to enhance service delivery. This is in line with Phase 4 of the NBI which was recently launched in koboko to boost internet connectivity in West Nile.

According to the UN e-gov't survey 2016 Report, Uganda improved in rank by 28 positions from 156 in 2014 to 128 in 2016. was estimated to be 36% e-gov't ready in 2016, which was lower than the world's average of 49.2%. More is being done to improve use of e-services.
