I see a lot of the new influx players today saying things like "keep the real world out of the game"; but you cannot. A game can be escapism from the real world, but it is inixtricably real, made by real people, played by real people, the things you do and say matter.

We? During my time at Ubisoft, a lot of people were disappointed by the Scott Pilgrim situation. It just seems that the legal/licensing issues around the rights of that game got cleared up.
