I guess those of us who watched #ChrisPackham tonight may be feeling a little bit “but what can we do”? Well we can consume less! That’s something we can do. Buy less. Repair more. Do without.

Consuming less only addresses symptoms of the overpopulation problem.
If we were back at 2 bn, we could consume all we liked!
Australia's population expanded by +32% since 2000, so even reducing individual emissions by 32% over 20 years, would have made zero impact on emissions

I’ve recently gotten into older tech. My guitar pedalboard is based on a 10 year old unit. It’s fine. I’m using a six year old digital camera. I’m thinking about an older HiFi at some point.

Socialism wasn’t created for climate and ecological breakdown. On this subject it is silent. We must figure out how to redistribute without that meaning more shit is bought! Right now locked up capital, depressingly, is a good thing.

Always do that. Why buy something new if there’s nowt wrong with what you got? Repair things if I can and make or modify if I can. Not much to do with environment reducing waste, I’m just a tight bastard 😆😆
