Ruby claimed my signed copy of Cold Nose, Warm Heart by as her Valentine's Day read. Good thing I can buy another signed copy this weekend-along with getting to sign my copy of It's My Life. I love living in an area with so many talented authors!

I’ve been on the hunt for a swoony, EPIC love story and/or unique takes on classic tropes! 😍 If I ❤️ your pitch, I’d love for you to query me at submissions (at) greenhouseliterary (dot) com with “KissPitch” in the subject line. Thanks! 😘

You don't have to be a member to see most of the SCBWI Blueboard. There's an awesome section just for SCBWI members, but the areas with the debut groups, market info, response times, etc. just need you to log in to view them. I hope I'll see you there. :)

That's not a silly question, Lisa-especially since I'm the SCBWI FL Critique Group Coordinator. :) Debut groups help support authors long before the book/s they sold are released. I participated in tonight & loved learning more about the debut group.

Yay! That sounds like a lot of support from your publisher. I especially love that they made a great teacher guide for you.

I planned my launch party on the day the book released. Don't do that! I had so many nightmares about the books not making it to the bookstore. It was such a special day by itself, I wish I would have spread out the fun a little and planned my launch party that weekend.

Yes! I love the kidlit community. (((Hugs))) I remember my earlier days of being a cave writer--now I can't imagine being a writer without the support of the amazing kidlit community.

Wow! Congrats on getting the offer to turn your book into a musical. That will be amazing! I hope a night like tonight makes you feel more successful on Twitter. :) Yes! I always celebrate every moment of good news that comes my way...no matter how small.

True! But I think the best PR is when you're sharing vs. 'boasting'--and I love when authors use that time to give back with a giveaway, helpful hints, etc. that makes it feel more like a celebration than 'buy my book'.

My SCBWI region now allows 2 PAL books per person in the conference bookstore or 1 self-published book in the store.

The Blueboard now has a section for debut groups where you can look for a group or to add members, discuss tips, ask questions, etc. I hope all the debut groups will hop on and join the chat there. :)
