I buy new bulbs each year as that way you are more likely guaranteed 100% success. If I had a much larger garden I might keep more but plant them in say an orchard etc. Generally Narcissus flower a second time better than tulips in my experience.

I buy new bulbs each year. These were planted in new compost that I mix myself - compost, horticultural grit, John Innes No. 3 plus granular feed last September. If you google bulb lasagne you’ll find pics giving you an idea of what you can do.
