They are secured by the federal government. That is security for the lending institution that they will be repaid. They are not secured against property owned by the debtor. The debtor has no property to surrender if they cannot pay. Don't be thick.

Can you address the contradiction of Marxism? Is using the State, a hierarchical institution, to remove hierarchies a contradiction? Have you read any socialist thinkers? You don't seem to be able to discuss socialism with any depth.

Yeah the US government is an institution of violence. I have not used the word capitalism. I'm against violence. I'm against State violence. If you want to use the State to achieve your ends I'm against you.

Marx wanted to use the State to achieve socialism. That is the problem.

The problem with these conversations is everyone is using different definitions of capitalism and socialism. Either your for or against violence. If you're for using the State to achieve your ends you are for violence.

Mikhail Bakunin is a prominent 19th century socialist. If you are a socialist, you should have an opinion on his critique of Marxism.

Mikhail Bakunin on Marxism: "They say that this State yoke—the dictatorship—is a necessary transitional means in order to attain the emancipation of the people...freedom is the goal, the State is the means. Thus to free the working masses, it is first necessary to enslave them."

The problem is with Marxism. Like Bakunin pointed out, using the State, a hierarchical institution, to achieve egalitarianism is a contradiction. Using the State to end the State is a contradiction. He predicted it would lead to tyranny. History proved him right.

Here is a good critique of a policy proposal published Oct 2017. I guess I'm just not seeing what you're seeing.

Here's Marxist Johann Plenge in "1789 & 1914: The Symbolic Years in the History of the Political Mind": "It is high time to recognise the fact that socialism must be power policy, because it is to be organisation. Socialism has to win power: it must never blindly destroy power."

The government owning media is socialism. The government having "oversight" of media is fascism.

Cut taxes by trillions. Cut the budget by trillions. The world will be a better, more peaceful, and more prosperous place.
