I had a couple of questions: 1) is this remote or do you have to be on campus? 2) Would a Bachelors in communications work as a pre-req if you have years of programming experience? I'm currently teaching in a new VR/AR program and have programmed for 20 years.

I understand the desire to have first-time VR experiences stellar on what really is a stellar device, but it would be awesome if out of the box the Quesr only showed top-notch experiences, butif you put the Quest in developer mode, you would unlock many more options.

That is true. I just hope the solve the limited content issue and come up with a better approach for ensuring quality content. I've heard from a few indie devs that the restrictions are discouraging.
