I wouldn't mind practice the night before if a track knows how to prep the track for the next night to make it a good show. Most don't.

In most cases, the track is usually junk for the actual race when fans are paying $25+ to only see a few passes all night.

Dirt tracks that continue to hold practice the night before a big race is doing a disservice to its fans and drivers. It's a money grab.
