I'm convinced LeMahieu could do this.

That was quite the performance tonight. Tomorrow would be a good time for the rest of the to stop waiting around for Aaron Judge to bail them out.

The game is close now. No need for Hale to see a single batter this inning. Or Holder. Or anyone other the Ottavino.

They're not playing .818 baseball because of their rotation.

He's twice my age and still hits the streets hanging posters and "selling." That's the throwback promoter this sport needs. Just like and many others.

When you see the cost and risk associated with running a pro event -- even a "club" show -- you'll be thankful for the comparatively inexpensive paid slots. And don't be obtuse. You know JB is not the kind of promoter who just shows up the night to pose for pics and sign checks

The bottom line is you can't minimize the importance of a promoter when they are the ones providing the slots to be paid for. Without them, fighters will have to go out there and risk $60-70K of their own money to run an event just to get a fight.

Also, and other female fighters have won world titles under and CES is the only promotion in the world with two reigning WBC World Youth champions (Ortiz and Irvin Gonzalez). I think those fighters who won those belts are thankful for the promoter.

This is based on nothing but the "pure talent" argument. If you think either work as hard at the plate, are as disciplined, or approach each plate appearance the same way, I'd disagree.

You can ask any fighter the benefit of having a promoter who will give you the platform to build, fight on your behalf to get you the best matchups (and most dollars), get your name in the rankings, and get you to the top of that mountain through his / her connections.

You know it's definitely both. But at the regional level, fighters put 75--80% of the rear-ends in the seat just by selling tickets out of pocket (and that's a low-end estimate because it's sometimes higher than that).

A.K.A. "My guy can't fight or sell tickets, but I'd really like him to be 10-0 before the end of the year!"

Lame. They should wrap themselves in plastic and not leave their dorms for the entire length of the season.
