But I was willing to take the risk to fail. Because God’s love for me is not dependent on my performance “for him.” His love is based on the cross of Christ. The place where love conquered fear. I John 4:18 “There is no fear in love. Perfect love casts out fear.”

It was this love for God, His Word, and people that was the driving force to overcome the paralysis of fear I often faced. This could still be a giant mistake. This book may not help a single person. This book might be a waste of my time and yours.

Fear that people I admire in my life would quietly think this was a disaster. Fear that family/friends would regret sharing about the book or regret dropping the cost of a nice lunch on buying the book. Fear it would not help a single person come to God/draw closer to Him. Fear.

The fear I had in this book launch: (1/6) I had a lot of fear releasing this book. Fear that the book wasn’t any good. Fear the book was a waste of our time and resources. Fear of man manifested by pride that people would think of me as somebody worth listening to...
