The first time I had Lyme arthritis in my knees and big toes (so weird I know) this time I had neuropathy in my shoulders. It felt like they were asleep all the time. But it’s so different for everyone. Talk to your doc! I’m def not qualified to give advice 😊

They can! At least up where I am. An urgent care diagnosed me the first time around. I waited until I couldn’t walk to go see someone 🤦‍♀️

Definitely talk to your doctor. It could be so many things- mosquitos carry viruses and weird stuff too but definitely rule out Lyme.

Also the problem is that the symptom are ambiguous. Being exhausted and achey could be anything. Luckily Lyme is super common in the northeast so medical professionals tend to test for it if you have any risk factors

The early tests are unreliable- so happy you are seeing a specialist about it. I’ll be thinking about your daughter- I hope they figure it out!

Tbh no one knows much about Lyme. If you catch it early you can treat w antibiotics pretty successfully. If you don’t catch it early you can have it for life and be on antibiotics for the rest of your life. Problem is, the testing is unreliable for early stages

Get tested! It doesn’t hurt to be sure. And if you catch it early it is treatable! Let me know how it goes- Sending good vibes

It’s a round of pretty intense antibiotics. The length of time varies per person

Its so dangerous for Lyme to go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed-often as Alzheimer’s, heart disease or arthritis- so advocate for yourself and stay healthy 🙌

I have had Lyme disease twice now in the last three years. If you are unexplainably tired, have joint pain, have a headache that will not go away, numbness in weird places, heart or cognitive problems, and are outside ever or have pets that are outside ever, ask to be tested.

Not only is it the case that happy people are more willing to help others, but as I generally point out, helping others is the best way to help yourself, the best way to promote your own happiness. It is you, yourself, who will receive the benefit.

Our Dad does not computer. For his 2nd book, he wrote the first draft entirely pen on paper then dictated it to so she could type it for him and she didn’t even get credit for it 😂
