Apologies if now is the wrong time for a fanfic example but I do think this one for Spider-Man: Homecoming does an EXCEPTIONALLY good job

I definitely think it’s a fun movie and not something teens need to be shielded from! But there might be some awkward or discussion-warranting moments, so I’d say rewatch with your own specific audience in mind so you aren’t thrown by their reactions

The way the teens talk about sex is very, like, oh you’re on to the right stuff but there’s still a ways to go, and hearing a male character tell another male character “Don’t let anyone tell you you don’t deserve what you want” when it’s about a girl was much less charming now

I JUST rewatched this and my two cents is: overall I still enjoyed it a lot. There wasn’t enough to spoil the experience for me, BUT. There were definitely some moments that made me cringe (Bianca either says the r-word or something similar at one point, (1/2)

Half Price Books sells gently used comics very affordably; yes you have to show up to the store bc comics don’t tend to be scanned into the system, but if there’s one in your area it’s a great way to get a lot of comics cheap

So I am also 24 but I first watched Heathers as a bitter catholic-high-school-attending lesbian and thought it was Perfect (it’s still absolutely sublime)

I’ve watched this movie countless times and every time I think “I know it’s coming, I’m over this” and every single time when the theme music starts playing and Superman catches Lois Lane and the falling daily planet helicopter I just start bawling

Like I can drive and I love it, my long-distance relationship would be a lot more challenging without it, but I’ve never minded driving my friends places because I Get It

Also driving is one of those skills you can’t just practice on your own, you have to be taught how to do it and when you’re gay and don’t have a great relationship with parents/guardians because of it, that makes it. pretty difficult

“Enough, I am engaged. <<I will challenge him.>> I will kiss your hand, and so I leave you. By this hand, Claudio shall render me a dear account. As you hear of me, so think of me. Go comfort your cousin. I must say she is dead, and so, farewell.”

If you’re talking about the chain HPB, we are /very much/ instructed not to take arcs and even when someone buys one in by mistake, somebody else catches it before it goes on the shelves

As a woman, having experienced a whole lotta female socialization over the course of my life, I’ve had it driven into my head that romantic gestures require sacrifice or willingness to change for your loved one. Mr. Darcy? Check. Benedick In Much Ado? Check. Petruchio? No.
