Yolanda Black Navarro was not only the owner of Villa Arcos Restaurant but she was heavily involved within her community. As a founding member of LULAC 634 and former mayoral candidate, Yolanda Black Navarro was a leader.

The Heritage Society Sep 13
First Presbyterian Church – This grand church, located on the corner of Main/ McKinney & built in 1894, was destroyed by fire on 9/10/1932. After repairing & enlarging, it reopened a year later. The church moved into its new home at 5300 Main in 1949.
