There's a bit of a buzz around the Viewing Mount. We planted 5,500 UK-sourced lavender and rosemary plants through a biodegradable membrane, and the lavenders are now in full flower. The insects love it! And the view from the top is wonderful:

That’s very cool! I must try to pop by. Shout at me if you see me about the place! Do you have a larger female Araucaria cone? I saw Mark had one off the Wisley tree the other day... The one from my collection was a bit small.

Explore the fascinating world of carnivorous plants this weekend 20-21 July . Some of them are the tiniest delicate little wonders, some are 2 feet tall and hungry! Come and find your favourite and take one home if you dare.......

In gardening there are no mistakes, only experiments! So here’s one of my more successful ones, creating tiny tree ferns so small they fit inside a 40cm fish bowl. A imaginary species brought to life with horticultural trickery. I’m explaining how over on Instagram right now...

There’s a Fuchsia for everyone in the Glasshouse . My personal favourite is the elegant Fuchsia boliviana var. alba which can grow into a small tree in the right conditions.
