Combatting stigma isn’t just about supporting our brothers and sisters who are living with HIV. It’s also vital for HIV prevention efforts. Stigma doesn’t just hurt people living with HIV, it harms all of us. Something I wrote for :

What I’m saying is that the way people treat those of us living with HIV has not progressed as far or as fast as medical treatment has. I’m sorry, though not surprised, you share this experience. Stay strong.

I’m not clear what your question is. You won’t live forever, no one does, but with the right treatment and care, people with can live a normal lifespan.

I have seen men on gay dating apps calling for people with to be hanged. I’ve felt the judgement of others, that I must be promiscuous, irresponsible or stupid. The medical treatment of HIV has improved but ongoing stigma creates new challenges for us living with HIV.

Sure. They will be: 3, 7, 12, 19, 22, 37 and 39. I just can’t tell you what date they’ll be.

Always, always thread a thirst shot onto a tweet if it starts taking off. Or something work related, if you feel the need to be worthy.

It’s been pointed out that this is an old story. Like... Ted Haggard, evangelical leader - male prostitute Larry Craig, senator who opposed hate-crime legislation - lewd conduct in a toilet Glenn Murphy Jr. opponent of same-sex marriage - guilty of sexually assaulting a man. Etc.

I struggle to understand people who oppose . I have no problem at all with people who choose not to use PrEP. I support use but I do not accept that condoms, or those who use them, are morally superior.

There’s a greater risk of being knocked down by a car when you cross the road than there is of acquiring when adherent on . We all take small risks daily, we couldn’t function if we didn’t. The risks we accept and the costs/benefits we endure/enjoy is a personal choice.
