Yeah but not in the ego-centric United States. Nothing else from anywhere outside applies to us here because we are special and unique. ❄️

My kids were immediately enthralled and wanted to claim dad’s package before I even got to it.

Feel free to use or share. I support Supervised Consumption Sites in Philly and beyond. I endorse any tool in the tool kit that will save lives.

We don’t withhold lifesaving care to someone because we judge their actions do not fit into a moral paradigm. We stand along side and care because there’s no need to suffer pain. We still want you here today. And the day after that. And the day after that...

I was texting with a friend after attending the hearing today. She lost her child to a fatal overdose in the last 2 years. She captures the absurdity of McSwain’s argument against overdose prevention sites.

Wore mine to the DOJ hearing today. Based on response Philadelphia’s Harm Reduction Community wants to give you all its dollars.

McSwains implication that saving a life is only worth doing if the entity providing the life-saving support can guarantee long-term outcomes is reprehensible.

While we’re at it let’s cut out sun screen, helmets, speed limits, bug spray, and condoms for good measure. Probably ought to sit in a bunker alone and never leave. That is assuming we believe everyone has equal right to their own bunker.

Burnout is endemic in health care. And nothing new. But I think we need to talk about it in the context of , the overdose crisis, and homelessness. 1/

Isn’t the secret formula but some things we do: Fiercely protecting weekly one on one supervision Built in team meetings with space or a ritual to process every time someone in our care passes Bi-annual team building activity not tied to our very much beloved harm reduction

Listen to Lisa people. You may consider yourself to be a compassionate, empathetic, truth-telling person. Truth is you likely don’t hold a candle to the artistry of this kind soul.
