It is unfortunate that we live in a time when we have to outfit our schools with these types of supplies but we can’t ignore the dangers either and need to ensure that our youth, school personnel and officers have the technology they need to keep our communities safe and secure.

Priority was given to applicants that applied seeking goods that would further enhance protection for our officers on the streets or that would provide added safeguards to protect our schools + children, such as security cameras, alarms + active shooter kits for classrooms.

Pleased to be in Natick to award more than $1.3M in federal Byrne Justice Assistance Grant funds to 77 local police departments to purchase vital equipment and technology to provide additional protection to our law enforcement officers or enhance the security of our schools.
