Recently several fires started when or were . Use only one at a time (none is safer). Never connect multiple cords or strips together. Plug heat generating appliances like directly into the wall.

What do do? Make sure exitways are clear, no overcrowding occurs, initiate the fire alarm, point out the exits in advance, complete the Fire and Building Safety Checklist daily, before the facility opens.

Training never stops, even when graduation is going on. Last Friday, while Class 280 was graduating, Class 281 continued their training with ladders. The recruits were gaining access through the windows of the tower building with either ground ladders or the aerial ladder.

Traveling for school vacation? Stay in hotels or motels that have hard-wired smoke alarms and a fire sprinkler system. Find the 2 closest exits from your room. Count the doors between your room and the exits. This will assist you if you need to evacuate in the dark.
