snow crews are out in force. We have 249 plows active (68 County, 181 Contractor) and have deployed 1800 tons of salt clearing county roadways. The snow is forecast to continue today - please give our crews room to work if you can stay home. ❄️🌨️

Something that we can’t lose sight of: the Violence Against Women Act expired almost two weeks ago when the government shutdown began. It’s shameful to withhold this critical support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Congress must re-authorize it immediately.

Ran into my favorite community police officer in the city of Laurel, Officer Johnson. He often patrols the city on this scooter, checking in on Main Street businesses and keeping citizens safe. If I look short, well, I am, but he’s 6’6”!

Visiting Parkland Magnet Middle in & watching hands-on geoscience class where 8th graders are dissecting owl pellets & earning high school credit. Wow! With sufficient funding this program could be replicated across MD! Adopting Kirwan school funding formula is key.
