Elstone: "We obsess about structures. We think they're the panacea and if we get the right structure it’ll be phenomenal. The game is about the players, and we need to get that right and get the perception of our game much younger and much ambitious." Nail. Hit. Head.

Meanwhile, in Sydney there is a thrilling NRL play-off game taking place, with leading 21-20 with four minutes to go. It's great to get back to the game on the field.

Nice, realistic comments by Rob Elstone. I hope he is successful and that the Championship and League 1 are also successful from here onwards.

More of an appetite than you seem to think. A derby between Leigh and Wigan will always be keenly contested. And let's not forget that in Super League the other day, Warrington put 80 points past Hull FC. That wasn't a cross-divisional game, last time I looked.

It's ironic that most people don't want to talk about the tries and the other skilful parts of the game, but prefer talking politics.

The obstruction rule raises its head again as each side has a try disallowed in Perpignan. I wonder whether we should introduce a rule that a player who falls theatrically to the ground loses the right to a penalty.
