true. until we get better regulations and better business models it is the solution for those that care. if an email provider/client doesn't offer these simple features it is because they don't want/care to rather than that they can't. there are more human-friendly alternatives.

Doesn't the option to allow or not allow remote images solve all these tracking problems in emails? Seems very simple. These are the settings in for instance.

nice post! doing things that don't scale can work wonders! about the rental story: when i post a job at upwork or similar i put a line in there with a specific question to filter out spam etc. sometimes more applications arrive without the answer to my question than with 🤷‍♂️
