Exclusive: Sajid Javid has been told by Bruno Le Maire, France's finance minister, that Paris intends to veto the purchase of British Steel by Chinese conglomerate Jingye Group, casting fresh doubt on the takeover of the UK's second-biggest steel producer.

Can funds be found from somewhere to keep the plant running until after Dec 2020 when we will be free from restrictions of EU,(and France’s threatened spanner in the works,veto,)to make our own decisions/deals in the Nat. interest. Independent UK needs that steel making capacity.

Nothing to do with the EU. France is simply a major customer so they get a major say.. Honestly, the level of education about the EU and international trade in this country is pitiable.
