Sat down with a month ago to talk about the City’s ambitious fiber project. The fact that over 100,000 San Franciscans & 15% of public school children lack internet access at home is criminal. We can & must do better to provide a better future for all San Franciscans.

While I cherished my time as supervisor, without question serving as the 44th mayor of the city and county of San Francisco for the past six months was my greatest honor - thank you, San Francisco!

Auto break-ins are down across SF but our work is far from over. To futher deter car break-ins, we have improved surveillence equipment in our public garages and increases on-site staffing. We will stop these property crimes before they start.

SF has built more than 7,500 supportive housing units but we cannot simply build ourselves out of homelessness fast enough. We must continue to invest in compassionate & common sense programs that offer our residents resources to prevent homelessness before it happens.

For years, I have worked to ensure that our kids and families have access to local schoolyards on the weekend -- a welcoming open space in the community where they can shoot some hoops, skate or just gather with friends.

The status quo is unacceptable when it comes to addressing the opioid epidemic on our streets. Since the Fed Gov is not supporting cities in addressing this crisis, SF has taken the steps to provide treatment options to help those w/heroin addictions start their path to recovery.
