Lotta western journalists giddy over Ukraine prez debate b/c contrast with Russia. But Ukraine is Europe's poorest country, 40% lack money for food/shelter, 1/3 want to emigrate & millions do work abroad. Only 9% have confidence in gov't. This system is a catastrophic failure.

Zelenskyi doing some ace trolling of Putin to the delight of credulous western hacks. At some point they’re going to have to at least pretend to care about Ukraine’s catastrophic political economy and whether Zelinsky is helping alleviate widespread Ukrainian despair
