Hydrothermal vents are like geysers, or hot springs, on the ocean floor. The largest known region of Hydrothermal vents lies near the Mid Atlantic Ridge. These vents were first filmed in 2011 by Ireland’s Remotely Operated Vehicle Holland 1.
