Young people were inspired by policies like abolition of tuition fees,rent controls,trains,utilities in public ownership,global justice...& encouraged peers,families to vote. Many disheartened today. Important we support them not 2 give up on participation & to take the long view

A long term approach. Ecosystems + movements not projects. Shift perspective of what an “organisation” is. The risky, committed work of unconstituted groups. Accountability to communities, not funders. Development money not a “gift” -it’s about reparations.

Communities must b invested in & enabled 2 coproduce this activity,& not just passive recipients of ‘therapies’ but shaping & informing the ‘service offer’ have got this, and challenge remains operationalising & implementing both culture & system change

Excellent meeting Improving Access to Psychological Therapies was established to do what is says on the tin....with a particular focus on historically excluded communities. This can only be done effectively if the communities themselves are active participants....

Wonderful final Battersea hustings today at . I'm so tired of hearing how young people are apathetic. These brilliant teenagers packed the room and had questions on youth violence, film censorship, youth centres and the climate emergency. Our future's in good hands.

But these issues have been raised consistently for the nearly 20 years i’ve been a part of this community, yet in many areas inequalities have worsened- this community remains marginalised from active engagement in decision making....public service systems r clearly not working!

Important questions being asked on lack of youth facilities,local children at risk of gang involvement, use of Prevent strategies heightening fears of, Islamaphobia, disproportionate use of stop & search, discrimination ...lots of community concerns .
