I've begun sorting out today's photos. They'll be with you in a couple of hours. Meanwhile, here's a nice Parkrun Portrait, seeing as we haven't had one for a few weeks.

As we start our parkrun family is a great place to support your mental health and wellbeing. You don’t need to be a fast runner, or even a runner. You can walk with us. Or volunteer and find yourself part of an inclusive community each Saturday at 9am.

Have you tried yet? You don't need to be a runner to take part. Lots of people walk or jog their way round. A tail walker always comes in last. Find out where your nearest is.

The wait is over. 257 of my photos from today's are now online at . A few camera problems, later traced to a wobbly lens mount (like its owner, a couple of screws loose), but I didn't lose all that many shots. Enjoy!

There are a few photos of things that happened before today at I wasn't able to stay to shoot any of the run itself owing to other commitments. Back to normal next week.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away Rebel parkrunners gathered to defeat the Galactic Empire running or walking 5k in less than 12 parsecs. Padawans kept within arms length Wookiee’s on a short lead Last Tailwalker made sure no one was left behind! See you for Star Wars Day!

Saturday is 4th of May. In the spirit of “May the 4th be with you”, is doing Star Wars-themed fancy dress this week. The run starts at 9am sharp from Kent Life, down near Allington Lock. Whether you’re a Jedi Master, a Wookie or a Princess, you dare not miss it!
