I don’t know what’s more frustrating - being told to fuck off by a student or the admin that follows?

RQT now, but it’s definitely important to have at least one day a week of NO work.

This tweet received a lot of love, which makes me think we’re all getting told to fuck off by our students at some point 😂

Get some soothing medicine. Do as little talking as possible on Monday - make some task heavy lessons. It’s more important that you’re there in some capacity. A lot of students require consistency. So fight the sore throat, take it easy and make them do allthe work for a day or 2

I wonder if I am too celebratory and positive on Twitter - perhaps making it difficult to red for those who aren’t having such a good time?!

Definitely keep sharing. Hopefully it’s short term. I hope you find your love and enjoyment back because without that in the classroom, it’s really tough going!

I always make my lessons from scratch but draw on old lessons, resources online and general research. I like making my lessons again because I have certain routines that the students expect from my lessons.

Teachers work incredibly hard? We have always worked incredibly hard. Workload is probably not the reason they leave. Why do people leave?

I actually think it’s simply data becoming more prominent leading to more pressure

Wasn’t bad - I managed to just pass it on to people more important than me

This is the only way you won’t get ill anyway. More important that your attendance is good. The kids require consistency

Morning - I need all of your perspectives on planning please. How far in advance do you plan your lessons? I’d love to hear your reasons as well!

No two days are the same. My department is incredible. My SLT is supportive. The kids are insane and amazing. I love my subject. I wake up every morning and look forward to going to work!
