IAAF is more & more aggressive in its characterizations of Semenya Here IAAF characterizes her as a male who "self identifies" as female Nothing could be further from the truth IAAF has crossed the boundary from discrimination to stigmatization Shameful

2⃣There are legitimately diverse perspectives on "sex testing" in sport. I won't get to all that here, as my focus is narrowly on scientific integrity. I do wish to thank (Stéphane Bermon) for attending & engaging. Sharing differing views face to face is important.

1⃣My talk yesterday focused on scientific integrity in IAAF regulatory policy making. The story of the DSD regulations which were temporarily suspended by a Swiss court yesterday is complex & the details matter.

As a 35yo academic woman wondering what lies ahead, this read resonates. Current mood- also regret & resentment free.

Thank you for sharing my voice & especially: "I’m a big believer in and I don’t think accepting women with high testosterone requires us to change the categories... They are women, they want to compete as women, so what’s the problem?”

Should we have a Sex and Gender science field? Should it have its own funding? Is it necessary or do we just promote best practices? Great questions my answers: YES. HELL YES. LET’S DO BOTH.
