This is horrific beyond measure. I cannot possibly imagine your pain and anger and I am more angry than I have ever been. The sorrow is so deep that no tears will come. Yet still thru all of this I have hope and can’t explain why.

Also, the government's been open a while now. And Boeing could have made some phone calls, regardless.

The US Federal Aviation Administration oversees certification of US aircraft. If Boeing wanted to submit the software fix for testing and approval during the shutdown, they had to wait. Ethiopia, where the airplane was bought doesn't enter into it -- it's built and certified here.

When are we as Americans going to admit that corporations now control nearly every aspect of our lives? Our health and safety and peace of mind is in the hands of people who place profit above all other things.

Maybe Dementia Don, Pence, the Boeing Execs and all their families can fly to Russia & back on one of these new 737's to prove to us that the planes are fine & do not need to be grounded? Matter of fact, let's make it mandatory, 1of these exec families on each 737 flight.
