read you'd LinkedIn article on failing your way to the top. When it comes to being silent about a mistake, I would say to have the 'emotional intelligence' to explain what happened diplomaticly. If you just speak up, that may lead to another fail. I often write it out

Under his instruction, We washed her body, put a white robe on her and I laid her on an 'altar before God' . It was a white marble slab, 7 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 4 feet off the ground... Then we laid strange looking orchids around her...
