Our new “quantitative snapshot” of SARS-CoV-2 just out in . We combed the literature for reliable and useful numbers about the virus, interactions with human cells, and disease progression. Check it out:

Indeed, this had crossed my mind. Or, he's that guy in the next cubicle that keeps trying to steal my coffee pods, just messing with my head 😒

"Despite intensified characterization of sarbecoviruses since SARS, the lineage giving rise to SARS-CoV-2 has been circulating unnoticed for decades in bats and been transmitted to other hosts such as pangolins"

Abe's last was a bit below par so I skipped that that one. But now he's sending me something earlier than usual and he's found his magic markers again. Enjoy. (I love the slipped in CFR at the end)

More that we need to ensure we consider cats and dogs when we're practicing better hygiene while sick. We're infecting them.

PROTECT YOUR PETS THOUGH. Notbjust from this human virus but from any. Keep them out of toilets. Keep some distance between your face and their fur when you have a cold or flu. This is an area long in need of more research.
