I think Life wasn't perfect tonal fit & signaled Eisner's new direction but it still added substance to the park & fit FW's overall purpose

I just refuse to completely rule out the possibility of that ever happening.

Like I said, this isn't something I expect anytime remotely soon. It would take a revolution in how the company thinks about the parks.

It improved when Horizons and The Living Seas and Wonders of Life each opened.

I don't expect Epcot to rediscover its purpose anytime soon, but I also don't think it's impossible forever.

Under current leadership, yes. But 10 years ago I would've said hope for spending in domestic parks like what we're seeing now is "dead."

Ironically, Ellen and Bille Nye are now once again somehow at least as relevant as they were in 1996.

I think the most relevant and needed updates are to reflect how our knowledge of and need for alternative energy has progressed in 21 years.

I don't think 1996 Energy is really living up to EPCOT Center's ideals either. It should be replaced. With what is the question.

Tons of things fit Epcot. Nothing that directly promotes and/or drives sales of merch for lucrative IPs fits Epcot is the problem.

That said, maybe this is a reference to the fact that Duffy is basically the ruler of actual Japan in all but name?

That's kind of amazing given that 1) he never appeared in Epcot's Japan and 2) the park doesn't even acknowledge his existence anymore.

They definitely had them. I only found them inside TDS. IMO the design isn't as good as the TDL shirts though.

I was *so glad* to find these a couple weeks ago! Finally a TDL shirt that isn't over the top filled with characters!
