@DWimaginography simplicity. There are trade-offs either way but I was less satisfied with the dodge/burn look.

not in the traditional sense but kind of... I used two opposing graduated filters from different directions.

I applied a graduated ND filter in post. At the time I took this photo I didn't have a physical filter system for the lens used.
