Because WebDriver is now a Feature on Demand in Windows, it will be kept up-to-date to automatically match the build/branch/etc. of Windows on your machine. Previously, it was necessary to manually update WebDriver separately from Windows.

Today's Windows Insider Preview build enables unprefixed support for Web Authentication (WebAuthN) by default in Microsoft Edge, allowing authentication to web sites via Windows Hello (PIN or biometrics) and authenticators (like FIDO2 Security Keys or FIDO U2F Security Keys).
