Surveillance activity in Auckland will be stepped up following the discovery of a second Queensland fruit fly on the North Shore. The solitary male fly was collected from a fruit fly trap and formally identified yesterday (20 February).

There are a number of common allergens in NZ that are legally required to be labelled, including gluten, soy and milk. Allergens must be declared if they are added as an ingredient, part of a compound ingredient, an additive, a processing aid or component of these. 1/2

All the properties within the Zone A in Otara have had a leaflet drop yesterday. Traps are being set in the area today, with the exception of some of the high risk properties (such as where there are dogs present).
