"I met with five local sex trafficking survivors, ages 14 to 17. They said that if DC decriminalized brothels, there would be “more missing girls” with less hope of being found. 'Why stop there?' one of them asked. 'Why not just decriminalize our murder?'"

In LA, Chicago, Houston & Philly, police oversight agencies like NYC's CCRB lack direct access to body-worn camera footage. But in DC, New Orleans & San Fran, videos are accessed by investigators directly. Direct access = timelier & better investigations.

Of course Nevada, the only US state with legal prostitution is welcoming a misogynists dream come true—a secret location where 50 men have 24/7 sexual access to 100 prostituted women. The site boasts STD “tested girls” whose “mission is to please you”🤮

The attacker screamed things like, “this is my neighborhood,” during the incident. Priest was also dressed in traditional and religious clothing at the time of the attack. All eyes on and to seriously prosecute this matter and deliver justice

I’m disgusted by this violent attack on a Hindu priest in our borough. Today and everyday I stand with the Hindu community and every Queens family. Even in the face of hate, we will not forget that our diversity is our strength

I am saddened and outraged by the news that 11-year-old was shot and killed last night in SE DC. No child should have to live in fear of gun violence. No family should have to mourn the death of their child.

Thanks for reporting . The effort put into the impartial CCRB investigation, prosecution & trial is the last hope & final frontier. May the family of & New York City get some semblance of justice & closure with a just decision after five long years.

“Even before Mr. Garner’s death, the Civilian Complaint Review Board had substantiated four allegations of abuse against him in previous cases. Why should an officer like Pantaleo remain on the force, diminishing the trust of New Yorkers? “ via

"The Hot 97 host, Ebro Darden, immediately challenged Mr. de Blasio. 'I disagree,' he said. 'I believe the No. 1 way you can honor Eric Garner is firing Officer Pantaleo.'"

Sometimes history repeats itself. Check out the parallels between the 1994 Anthony Baez case and the case. The defense used the same argument 21 years ago. Except the feds charged the officer in the Baez case AND got a guilty verdict.

Thank you, David. As ED, I personally met with the ME on this case with two of our top investigators. What a travesty.

This is such a miscarriage of justice. Fed civil rts prosecutors recommended filing charges under this administration & the last. The video, autopsy report/photos warrant it, but justice is still denied. Now, the CCRB team & admin trial is the final hope.
