A Halloween costume mask isn’t a substitute for a cloth face mask! The best face masks have two layers of fabric and cover your nose and mouth. We don’t recommend wearing a cloth face mask under a costume mask because it might be difficult to breathe.

This year has been very difficult. But just because we’re over the pandemic doesn’t mean it’s over us. Cases are rising. It’s not time to let our guard down. Mask up and stay distanced. We can get through this winter together with patience and vigilance.

There might not be a blizzard this year (🤞), but Halloween 2020 will be one to remember. Talk to your family now about your plans to have fun while staying safe. While we might not be able to do all of our favorite spooky activities, there's nothing scarier than getting sick.

As Minnesotans face food and housing insecurity, I am so grateful for the tireless work of food banks, shelters, and so many others working to tackle these crises. I'm especially proud to have Cathy ten Broeke leading our statewide homelessness response.

NOW: The charges against former officers in death of George Floyd WILL NOT be dropped - sans one charge against Chauvin - but to be clear, Chauvin is STILL charged with 2nd degree murder and manslaughter in Mr. Floyd's death.

Just because you're over the pandemic doesn't mean it's over you. As positive cases rise, we have to take this seriously. Mask up. Keep six feet of distance and avoid crowded spaces. Get your flu shot. Stay home and get tested if you feel sick.
