We have been down Boulevard today putting up signs and speaking with residents about the fly-tipping around street bins. Please remember that the street bins are not for household waste and if caught you will be fined for fly-tipping.

Anyone feeling creative? The Hull Marathon needs you and your chicken wire sculpture skills to display collected litter from areas on the route. Th sculpture needs to be Maritime themed and be ready for the 22nd September! Anyone up for it?

Is your grass growing with all these summer showers and your brown bin overflowing?  Don’t forget soil and rubble and other garden waste can be recycled at one of the three Household Recycling Sites in Hull which are back open Saturday!

We sort your blue bin recycling for you.  Please don’t put food waste in your blue bin.  Food waste should go in your brown bin or green caddy so we can compost it.

Thanks to those of you who took part in our poll yesterday, the answer is the BLACK bin! 85% of you were right! The others who voted BLUE, we can't recycle dirty nappies and yet we still see so many in our blue bins.... 😭

Exciting times on Granville Street, 4 residents joined in the litter pick last week! In just one hour 3 big bags of people's litter was collected from the street. They may also be joining us at the end of the month for Lonsdale Street litter pick too

It's the afternoon and our household waste recycling centre at Burma Drive is fairly quiet if you have any household waste to drop off. 100% of waste was diverted from landfill at this site in July!

Yesterday, as part of the project in the Peel Street, Spring Bank area we all came together with a common goal; to clean the place up and engage with the local community. We had some awesome little helpers completing their lifestyle project too
