Just got my eyes on the Champions Cup Final. Terrific game. Exeter 19 phase DZ defence with player in bin incredible. Genuine trench warfare. Two great teams superbly prepared.

The ability to see space/opportunity and execute to that opportunity. Catch/Pass is a component of that as is communication, width & depth, speed control/timing, agility, and having a range of tools in the shed.

I like the article and inferences mate but like most statistical analysis there is a numerical and a qualitative imperative. Sometimes the less is more argument is valid. I do agree with your general viewpoint mate.
