Well I voted remain but hats off to you for some thorough research and an honest thread. If we re-ran the 2016 exactly I'd vote Remain (and *massive* reform) again but where we are in 2018 is very different - I'd take Norway as a compromise to move us all on happily. Thanks Chris

9. I have set out in detail why I would settle for the EEA option. My heart is for Canada but my head is for Norway. It isn't perfect but it is nowhere near as dreadful as being in the EU.

8. Hard Leavers can quite legitimately claim that Chequers is a betrayal of the referendum result. Nothing like Chequers was anticipated in the paper. But the same cannot be said about EEA/EFTA.

6. On this basis, it is IMPOSSIBLE to claim that WTO is a real Brexit and EFTA/EEA is not. They are both just different types of post-Brexit arrangements. Both require us to Leave the EU. This is a fact not my opinion.

5. In simple terms, the government literally told us what Leave would mean. It would mean, they said, either: Norway (EEA/EFTA) Swiss Republic (Bi-lateral agreements) Canada (WTO with a free trade agreement)

4. The government complied with section 7 by publishing two papers. One was published in March 2016 and was called: Alternatives to membership: possible models for the United Kingdom outside the European Union.

1. Proponents of the "Norway model" are often accused by proponents of the "Canada model" of betraying the result of the 2016 Referendum. Hard Leavers tell us that Norway is "not what people voted for" and accuse us of being "closet Remaniers". They are wrong.

Good to see taking steps to ban plastic straws, stirrers and cotton buds - but the problem is much bigger than that. The absurdity of shipping our rubbish around the world to pollute poorer communities is baffling. The Government needs to end our throwaway culture.

Very good UCL paper on how the UK was comprehensibly outmanoeuvred by the EU throughout the talks

Eyeballing pre-course evaluation questionnaires from MSc enrolees - amazing how many have apparently been *deliberately* taught Minitab, or somehow acquired it by diffusion.. I mean seriously, is anyone actually using Minitab in 2018?!?

Shame on the spineless cowards on my benches who hide behind anonymity to use such disturbing & violent language about their own colleague & PM Totally unacceptable. Have they learned nothing following the assassination of Jo Cox?

A genuine insult to the people who gave their lives to protect this country, not to mention completely ridiculous. Eugh.

Remember this? I mean, it basically says 'are you patriotic enough? Are you? ARE YOU??' Because it's unpatriotic to question how you country runs, or pool sovereignty with others to be more than the sum of your parts, apparently.
