San Francisco stand united against these attacks on women's rights. We must and ensure that healthcare choices remain between a woman and her doctor.

Our Vision Zero goals will require redesigning our high-injury corridors, increasing enforcement, and reprioritizing our roads so that people have options besides just taking a car. We need to do more, and we need to do it faster.

A free and independent press plays a crucial role in our society, and we have to work harder to honor not only the letter of California’s Shield Law, but also the spirit of it.

And the more we learn, the less appropriate it looks to me. While the legal process in this case will play out in our courts, we need a protocol going forward for how to handle investigations that involve members of the media.

However, two judges issued the search warrant, and I have to believe that the judges’ decision was legal and warranted, and therefore so was the search. Whether or not the search was legal, warranted and appropriate, however, is another question.

...for the illegal and reprehensible release of this information. I want the SFPD to get to the bottom of this, but I am not okay with police raids on reporters. We need to do better.

As much as anyone, I want a thorough investigation into how the police report related to Jeff Adachi’s death was leaked. I made it clear to the Police Department that responsible parties within the department needed to be held accountable...

My ballot measure proposals to streamline the creation of affordable and teacher housing projects, and allow more of these projects to be built on public land, are important steps to address our housing crisis and ensure our educators can remain in SF.

SF Chronicle on the delay of : “California Democrats’ ballyhooed ‘resistance’ to the Trump administration pales next to their resistance to housing a reasonable share of the state’s population.” We need to stop kicking the housing can down the road.

Nothing will ever change around housing if we keep putting off solutions like . We can’t keep saying no to everything if we want SF to be a place where people can afford to live. I know will continue his work on this important policy and he has my support.

When people are struggling with health issues on our streets & in our hospitals, they need to focus on recovering & healing, not on whether they can afford treatment. Excited to work with Gov. & other counties to bring down medication costs for all Californians.

Took advantage of a break in the rain today to join and visit merchants and small businesses in the Excelsior. We’re working to make it easier for small business owners to open and grow their businesses in all of our neighborhoods.

. stood on Market with candidate Breed in May 2018. One year later Mayor ’s got the protected lane built. For too long one industry (Cars) have dominated every decision for how we use our largest public space. ✨The politics are changing✨
