I only spoke to my GP when a friend asked me how I was and once I started talking about it all came out in a rush. When the gp asked me how I was doing I couldn’t stop sobbing. I’d never done that. They did the tests, found I was peri & she sent me to the gynae. I’m 46.

Hi chaps, can I ask you to help me out here? I posted an item from the UK. tracked and signed, at the start of May to a friend living in Canada. It's still not arrived and I'm a bit worried - is there a way you can track it if I give you my tracking number?

I feel you! I am seeing my gynae on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and because they've moved the appointment three times I've run out of patches. The hot flushes, the sheer fucking rage and migraines hitting me...well. I think you know.

I’m so excited by The Chef tv show! I adored the movie. It’s one of our go-to’s for happy watching.

It is SO SO good. I actually bought copies of gifts to pals as I couldn’t stop thinking about it and had to have a book gang to talk to about it.

Aah. That lovely latent & persistent smell of old pee that seems to permeate all Southeastern train carriages, even (or especially) the ones without toilets. If this were Apocalypse Now the tag would be: I love the smell off piss in the morning.

Obsessed with it. Have read it about five or six times. It’s become a comfort read.

The 2nd book related thing was just this morning, someone was reading Steven Erikson and edged to a bench at Blackfriars to continue reading. Personally not a fan, but I love that people (on my train at least) seem to enjoy reading fantasy/SFF genre books. Long may they continue!

Two book related spottings this and last week: girl on my train home got off at my stop, nose in a book, walked through a crowd of people to lean against a column to read the book was by NK Jemison and I had to physically stop myself from going to talk to her about the book!
