Yes, and it represents the androcentric and eurocentric bias of economic theory, which reinforces this work being invisible and not valued since the benefits are harder (but not impossible) to measure and reaped over a very long timeline.

There are those who think that women's relationships don't impact their careers; that intra-household bargaining & dynamics aren't integral to outside economic opportunities; that it's all individual choice & market forces. But for me, getting divorced was great for my career.
