Athletes are obsessed with feeling good. Trying to eliminate the exact things they’ve been training to achieve 🥴 Wasting energy and creating dependency. If you’re not feeling ‘subpar’ most of the time you’re not training properly. Nice chat here 👇

To all those telling me they’re tired of me going on about ‘you can’t go wrong getting strong’ Well I’m tired of increasing levels of sarcopenia, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, frailty and many more preventable issues due to lack of resistance training! So shut it!!! 😎

great to see the topic of treatment after ACL injury debated in the newspapers now... we need better evidence to identify those who wold best benefit from surgical vs conservative treatment

We really (really) suck at reducing pain scores in Great talk by at My thoughts: Should we be looking at pain resilience instead?

I’m lucky to work in a team that appear to have insight into research & reasoning but I know that’s bloody rare. Physios getting better but my fear is there’s not enough in physios who want to improve enough. If 1 in 10 osteos are informed and motivated I want them.

It’s not really specialist knowledge on exercise that’s needed.

Because unfortunately many managers & Doctors think exercise is easy and does not require any specialist skills or knowledge by the clinician. And quite frankly we don’t help ourselves by giving out generic exercise sheets. So our attitude also has to change before others change
